For Straagen! For the King!

Four Kindarrian cavalry ready for war.

The red and yellow men were in the last post, just done the basing since then. I also did a banner bearer riding a converted horse and another heavy lancer.
The banner bearer is carrying the lord's banner, so he wears rich armour and deserves some extra attention. I thought of doing white horse trapping with blue stripe and crosses, but swapped them. The lord will have the same trapping on his horse.

All freehand, of course.

The lancer will be part of the lord's household. He wears his own symbol (four yellow diamonds on blue) as he might be a younger son of a noble, but no soldiers will wear his colours. The blue keeps him similar to his lord.

Now i just need to make the lord!

  1. Excellent work. I really need to start painting again. I've been negligent these past couple months.

  2. These are really great. I love what you've done. You've worked hard on these, and got them how you want. Only question I have though, is how comes the Lord has different colours to his actual colours? As in, he's the guy with the reds and yellows right? So how comes his banner is blue with stars?

    1. Thanks Nathan. I haven't built the Lord yet, and the man in red and yellow is a noble, but not the 'Lord', ie the commander once i've done the band. There will be other nobles (jorfar) but not commanders, like a band of medieval knights.
Once made, the 'Lord' will be in blue and white, like his banner.

    2. Ah, I get it now. Well, I look forwards to it. I really like how you take the time to edit the models to how you'd like, then add the freehand details when painting. Brilliant, and makes the miniatures totally unique.
